Connect your AI agent to Maintainx
MaintainX is a cloud-based computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) that helps organizations centralize maintenance data, communication, and workflows.
Set it up in Melso
- 1In Melso, open Settings → Agent Apps and hit Connect on Maintainx.
- 2Finish the API_KEY sign-in in the window that opens. Melso stores the connection, not your credentials.
- 3Open your agent, go to its Agent Apps tab, and allow Maintainx.
- 4Give the agent a task. It calls Maintainx itself when the work needs it.

The tool requires a 'title' for the work order and offers several optional parameters including description, priority, dueDate, startDate, userIds, teamIds, procedureTemplateId, locationId, assetId, and categories.
Create Work Order Comment
This tool creates a new comment on an existing work order in MaintainX. It allows users to add comments for documentation, updates, or communication purposes within a specific work order. It requires a workOrderId and the text content of the comment to create a new comment on the work order, providing capabilities to update maintenance work order records.
Create Work Request
Tool to create a new work request in MaintainX. Use when you need to submit a request for work that can later be converted to a work order. Work requests are typically used to initiate maintenance or service requests that require approval before becoming work orders.

The portal can be customized with a title, welcome text, and description placeholder. It can be associated with a specific location and asset, and can be configured to require email contact information.
