Connect Codex to ElevenLabs
Give your Codex agent access to ElevenLabs in Melso — 155 tools it can call while it works through a task.
Set it up in Melso
- 1In Melso, open Settings → Agent Apps and hit Connect on ElevenLabs.
- 2Finish the API_KEY sign-in in the window that opens. Melso stores the connection, not your credentials.
- 3Open your Codex agent, go to its Agent Apps tab, and allow ElevenLabs.
- 4Give the agent a task. It calls ElevenLabs itself when the work needs it.
What ElevenLabs gives your agent
The tools, permissions, and events ElevenLabs exposes — the same ones your agent can use once the app is authorized.
What you sign in with
ElevenLabs connects with API_KEY.
Permissions
ElevenLabs does not break access down into granular permissions.
Tools ElevenLabs exposes
Add a pronunciation dictionary from file
Adds a new pronunciation dictionary from a lexicon file to improve speech synthesis accuracy.
Add outbound phone number
Tool to import/register a Twilio phone number or SIP trunk into ElevenLabs Agents Platform. Use when you need to provision a phone number for outbound calls and ELEVENLABS_GET_AGENT_DETAILS returns empty phone_numbers. This does NOT purchase a new number; it imports an existing provider configuration into your ElevenLabs workspace.
