Connect Hermes to Slackbot

Give your Hermes agent access to Slackbot in Melso — 98 tools it can call while it works through a task.

Set it up in Melso

1In Melso, open Settings → Agent Apps and hit Connect on Slackbot.
2Finish the OAUTH2 sign-in in the window that opens. Melso stores the connection, not your credentials.
3Open your Hermes agent, go to its Agent Apps tab, and allow Slackbot.
4Give the agent a task. It calls Slackbot itself when the work needs it.

Add reaction to message

Adds a specified emoji reaction to an existing message in a Slack channel, identified by its timestamp; does not remove or retrieve reactions.

Add a remote file

Adds a reference to an external file (e.g., Google Drive, Dropbox) to Slack for discovery and sharing, requiring a unique `external_id` and an `external_url` accessible by Slack.
