Connect your AI agent to AssemblyAI
AssemblyAI provides speech-to-text transcription and audio intelligence APIs for uploaded and remotely hosted media.
Set it up in Melso
- 1In Melso, open Settings → Agent Apps and hit Connect on AssemblyAI.
- 2Finish the API_KEY sign-in in the window that opens. Melso stores the connection, not your credentials.
- 3Open your agent, go to its Agent Apps tab, and allow AssemblyAI.
- 4Give the agent a task. It calls AssemblyAI itself when the work needs it.
What AssemblyAI gives your agent
The tools, permissions, and events AssemblyAI exposes — the same ones your agent can use once the app is authorized.
What you sign in with
AssemblyAI connects with API_KEY.
Permissions
AssemblyAI does not break access down into granular permissions.
Tools AssemblyAI exposes
Delete Transcript Content
Irreversibly delete a transcript's stored content. AssemblyAI retains a tombstone that later GET and list calls can still return, and those later responses may omit the is_deleted marker.
Export Subtitles
Export a completed transcript as raw SRT or WebVTT subtitle text.
