Best online gestoría in Spain: 10 options for 2026
Ten options for the self-employed in Spain, compared by scope, price, Renta and tax agency letters. Includes software, a traditional gestoría as a benchmark and a worked annual cost. Reviewed on 12 October 2026.

In short
- Ask which forms are included for your activity and tax profile.
- Tell preparing your taxes apart from filing them on your behalf.
- Compare the whole year, with the Renta, extras and cancellation terms.
- Insist on the filing receipt for every return sent to the AEAT, Spain's tax agency.
What is the best online gestoría for the self-employed in Spain?
The best online gestoría (a Spanish firm that handles your tax paperwork) covers your obligations, including the quarterly taxes that apply to you, makes clear who reviews and files them, and confirms the annual cost. This comparison, dated 12 October 2026, brings together 10 options: services you can hand your taxes to, software for working with your own adviser, and a traditional gestoría. There is no single winner for everyone.
Method and transparency. Melso publishes this comparison; its own offer appears at the end as the tenth option, outside the third-party tables. Third-party brands are listed alphabetically within each category, with the local firm after them as a benchmark. The numbers identify options; they are not quality rankings.
We have not signed up for or tested these services: we read their official pricing, FAQ and help pages. We follow the test that article 10 of the Unfair Competition Law sets for comparisons: compare verifiable features of services that meet the same needs. Where the scope differs, we say so. Temporary promotions are left out. Accessed: 12/10/2026.
Which option suits you: decision table
Start by deciding whether you want to hand off your quarterly taxes or handle them yourself. "To confirm" means the page we checked does not settle that point; it does not mean the service is missing.
We show the published fees. Where a third-party price does not say whether VAT is included, confirm the final amount before you sign up.

Software and an in-person alternative

|---|---|---|---|---|
| Holded (12/10/2026) | Software shared with your adviser | Plus: €15/month | + VAT | Professional service, Renta and AEAT letters |

Nine alternatives: who each one suits
1. Declarando: if you want to file with help
The plans with taxes cost €49.90, €69.90 and €99.90 a month plus VAT, on an annual plan. Source: Declarando, 12/10/2026.
The FAQ on its pricing page explains that your quarterly returns are generated for you to file with Hacienda (the Spanish tax authorities) yourself, with help if you have questions. Básico and Pro generate a Renta (the annual income tax return) based on your self-employed income: you have to check the rest of your situation yourself; Premium includes filing by an adviser, complex returns included. AEAT letters (requerimientos, formal requests from the tax agency) are covered from Pro with taxes. Source: Declarando, 12/10/2026.
If you already have a gestor, it offers plans without taxes, plus Verifactu Plus at €9.90 a month plus VAT on an annual plan. It suits you if you want to stay in control; confirm who sends the returns before you sign up. Source: Declarando, 12/10/2026. See Declarando review: scope and pricing.
2. Gestorum: if you still work with paper documents
It lists €50 a month plus VAT for the self-employed, with a personal gestor, unlimited advice, bookkeeping and tax filing, an online platform and a courier included. It may suit you better if you prefer to hand over paper documents. It includes receiving official notifications on your behalf; confirm whether it answers AEAT letters. The Renta costs €40 plus VAT on top; employment and legal services are also extra. Source: Gestorum, 12/10/2026.
3. Infoautónomos: if you want bookkeeping and an assigned adviser
It advertises its advisory service from €24.95 a month plus VAT, with unlimited tax questions, bookkeeping and an assigned adviser. It also offers employment services and covers Canary Islands taxation. It may interest you if you need that kind of support, but "from" does not prove that all those services are in the fee: ask for a quote for the Renta, AEAT letters and employment work. Source: Infoautónomos, 12/10/2026.
4. TaxDown: if you want quarterly returns and the Renta for an entry-level fee
Standard, at €29.90 a month, includes registration as self-employed, filing of quarterly income tax (IRPF) and VAT returns, the Renta (annual income tax return), an AI assistant and chat. Source: TaxDown, 12/10/2026.
Premium, at €59.90 a month, adds a personal gestor, priority WhatsApp, AEAT letters and tax planning. Both have a 3-month minimum term. The page does not say whether VAT applies to these fees: confirm the final amount. Premium may suit you better if you need help with AEAT letters. Source: TaxDown, 12/10/2026. We go into the details in TaxDown review: pricing and opinions.
5. Taxfix: if you need wider professional cover
Pro costs €39.90 a month plus VAT for one activity and one VAT rate, with an adviser on chat. Source: Taxfix, 12/10/2026.
Premium, at €59.90 a month plus VAT, adds bookkeeping for up to 200 invoices a quarter, several activities, international invoicing, information requests from Hacienda and the Renta for your business income from the year you subscribe. Source: Taxfix, 12/10/2026.
Total, at €99.90 a month plus VAT, extends the Renta, the handling of letters and inspections, and payroll for up to 3 employees. It states there is no minimum term. If you need payroll included, Total is worth a look. Source: Taxfix, 12/10/2026.
6. Xolo: if you invoice in Spain and want gestores
Local costs €39 a month plus VAT. Having your annual returns included requires 6 months' subscription; the Renta adds €6 a month and also requires 6 months. The add-on excludes your spouse's Renta and premium Renta cases. Prices and terms: Xolo, 12/10/2026.
For quarterly Forms 303, 130, 111 and 115, its table requires you to sign up before the 25th of the last month of the quarter. Get written confirmation of which quarter your sign-up will cover. Prices and terms: Xolo, 12/10/2026.
Premium costs €99 a month plus VAT: annual returns after 3 months, the Renta after 4, priority support and a one-hour phone call each quarter. Plans: Xolo, 12/10/2026.
Xolo says there is no general minimum term: those minimums only decide which services are included. It bills monthly; cancelling mid-month means paying for the next month too. Local suits invoicing within Spain; for clients abroad, look at Global or Premium. Plans and FAQ: Xolo, 12/10/2026.
7. Holded: software if you already have an adviser or file yourself
Its plans range from €15 to €199 a month plus VAT and include VeriFactu invoicing and free access for Partner advisory firms. Prices, 12/10/2026. It lets you file forms such as 303 and 130 with a digital certificate, according to its help pages, 12/10/2026. That does not include hiring a professional: also check what each plan does. If your adviser already works on it, keeping that combination may be the better choice. More in Holded review: plans and pricing.
8. Quipu: software for organising your invoicing
Starter lists €17 a month without promotion, or €168 a year, with unlimited invoices and quotes, a tax forecast and 30 scans a month. It offers a separate, optional gestoría service. It may suit you if you want to invoice and work alongside an adviser; confirm filing, the Renta, AEAT letters and the final amount separately. Source: Quipu, 12/10/2026.
9. Traditional gestoría: the benchmark if you need in-person service
This is not a brand and has no standard fee. Ask a local firm for the same detailed quote: forms, Renta, questions, AEAT letters, document handover and cancellation. It may be your best option if you need face-to-face meetings or specific experience in your sector. Compare quotes with how much a gestoría costs.
How to compare the annual cost without mixing up services
Lucía, a wedding photographer in Valencia who is self-employed with no staff, asks for quotes to cover her quarterly returns and Renta for 12 months. The totals keep the published conditions, without evening out taxes or services: check who files and what each plan covers before you choose.
| Option, source and date | Calculation without temporary promotions | Annual total and limit |
|---|---|---|
| Declarando Básico with taxes (12/10/2026) | €49.90 × 12 | €598.80 + VAT; you file |
| Gestorum with Renta (12/10/2026) | €50 × 12 + €40 | €640 + VAT; confirm scope |
| Infoautónomos (12/10/2026) | From €24.95 × 12 | From €299.40 + VAT; confirm scope and Renta |
| TaxDown Standard (12/10/2026) | €29.90 × 12 | €358.80; confirm final amount |
| Taxfix Premium, monthly billing (12/10/2026) | €59.90 × 12 | €718.80 + VAT; Renta for business income; ask about the annual discount |
| Xolo Local with Renta (12/10/2026) | (€39 + €6) × 12 | €540 + VAT; passes the 6-month minimum to include the Renta |
On the software side, Holded Plus, accessed 12/10/2026, comes to €15 × 12 = €180 + VAT; Quipu Starter, accessed 12/10/2026, €17 × 12 = €204, or €168 paid annually, final amount to confirm. Add your adviser's quote and check the features: software alone does not cover what Lucía needs. For a local firm, ask for an annual quote.
Which forms your gestoría should cover
A form (modelo) is the document you use to declare a tax. Under direct assessment (estimación directa), personal income tax (IRPF) starts from income minus tax-deductible expenses, according to the AEAT; not every self-employed person files the same forms.
- 303: settles the value added tax (VAT) you charge on sales, output VAT, minus the deductible VAT on your purchases, input VAT (VAT Law, article 99). The quarterly deadlines are set in article 71 of the VAT Regulation.
- 130: the general rule is 20% of cumulative net income, minus earlier payments (calculated before the article 110.3.c income-based deduction, or minoración) and any applicable withholding, under article 110 of the IRPF Regulation. Professionals are exempt if at least 70% of their income in the previous year had tax withheld (article 109).
Check what is covered for Form 303, Form 130, withholding on staff, professionals or rents subject to withholding, and annual returns.
The standard deadline for the fourth quarter runs from 1 to 30 January for Form 303, article 71.4 of the VAT Regulation and Form 130, article 111.1.b of the IRPF Regulation.
For the fourth quarter of 2026, both are due on 1 February 2027: 30 January is a Saturday and article 30.5 of Law 39/2015 moves the deadline to the next working day. The AEAT confirms that date for Form 303; for Form 130 it follows from the same rule, which its filing instructions state explicitly. Accessed: 12/10/2026.
The gestoría needs proper authorisation to represent you, including when it acts as an authorised third party (colaborador social). The contract does not shift your obligations towards Hacienda (LGT, article 17.5): always ask for the filing receipt.
Example: what to check with your gestoría before filing
Lucía works for private clients, who do not withhold IRPF (article 76 of the regulation). This is a hypothetical third quarter of 2026, under direct assessment, with no other adjustments pending. Follow her numbers to check your gestoría's draft.
- Work out the VAT. She invoices €9,000 net at 21%: €1,890. She buys a €1,000 lens, €300 of annual software and €200 of albums: €1,500 net, with €315 of VAT. Everything is used only for the business, with invoices received and recorded and a full right to deduct. Result: €1,890 − €315 = €1,575. Sources: VAT Law, standard rate, business use, supporting invoice and deduction.
The lens is depreciated for IRPF; that depreciation does not spread the deductible VAT over several years (AEAT: calculating business income).

- Check the cumulative IRPF. Lucía has €18,000 of cumulative net income, with depreciation and adjustments done: 20% = €3,600. She has no withholding or other deductions. Her net income was over €12,000 in 2025, so the income-based deduction (minoración) in article 110.3.c does not apply.
| Quarter | Cumulative net | 20% | Earlier payments | To pay |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| First | €5,000 | €1,000 | €0 | €1,000 |
| Second | €12,000 | €2,400 | €1,000 | €1,400 |
| Third | €18,000 | €3,600 | €2,400 | €1,200 |
- Agree on the filing. Both are due on 20 October 2026; direct debit closes on the 15th, according to the AEAT calendar. Article 111 of the IRPF Regulation and article 71 of the VAT Regulation set the quarterly periods.

- Check what the delay costs. If she files on 25 November with no prior request from the tax agency, one full month has passed since the 20 October deadline, but not two. Article 27.2 of the LGT, accessed 12/10/2026, sets 1% to start + 1% × 1 full month = 2%; the extra days do not add another month.
On each return: €1,575 × 2% = €31.50 for Form 303 and €1,200 × 2% = €24.00 for Form 130. The tax due comes to €2,775 and the surcharges to €55.50 before the reduction.
The 25% reduction has two conditions. First, pay the debt in full when you file, or keep to a deferral or instalment plan requested at that point and granted against a bank security (aval) or a surety insurance certificate (certificado de seguro de caución). Second, whichever of those you choose, pay the remaining surcharge within the period opened by its notice (article 27.5, accessed 12/10/2026).
Applied per form and rounded to the cent, the reduction leaves €23.63 + €18.00 = €41.63. After 12 months, the surcharge would be 15%: €416.25, or €312.19 with the reduction, plus interest from the day after those 12 months.
How Melso helps
To reconcile and check the draft before the deadline, Melso and its professionals prepare and review the taxes included for your activity and tax profile. You approve the exact draft in the app; with the required authorisation, the professional files that version and the filing receipt proves it was submitted.
Important
These surcharges apply to returns with tax to pay and no prior request from the tax agency. If no tax is due, the penalty regime in article 198 of the LGT may apply. Agree who is liable for mistakes and delays caused by the service.
How to read reviews and sign up without loose ends
Filter reviews by date and type of work. Look for patterns around deadlines, changes of gestor and charges after cancelling, and read the company's reply. A review of a Renta says nothing about how the quarterly service works.
- Describe your activity, clients, employees and any unusual transactions.
- Ask for the forms, Renta, AEAT letters, annual price and cancellation terms in writing.
- Make clear who reviews, who files and who sends you the receipt.
- When switching, agree the starting quarter and export your books, invoices and returns.

You can revoke powers of attorney with the AEAT. If you handed over your digital certificate, ask for the copies to be deleted; if you are unsure how it was kept, see revocation at the FNMT.
What to check about VeriFactu
Royal Decree 1007/2023 requires integrity and traceability from the systems covered by the regulation. The AEAT distinguishes VERI*FACTU, which sends the records, from NO VERI*FACTU, which keeps them under extra requirements. Businesses that keep their books through Immediate Supply of Information (Suministro Inmediato de Información, SII) are excluded under article 3.3 of RD 1007/2023, accessed 12/10/2026.
As of 12 October 2026, the fourth final provision of the consolidated RD 1007/2023, as amended by the first final provision of RDL 15/2025, keeps the adaptation deadline at before 1 January 2027 for corporate income tax payers and before 1 July 2027 for everyone else who is required to comply.
The Ministry of Finance note of 5 October 2026, accessed 12/10/2026, announces October 2028 to line up the timetable with e-invoicing for businesses that do not exceed €8 million a year. It is an announcement pending a legal change, not a date that already replaces the one in the BOE (Spain's official gazette). See VeriFactu for the self-employed.
Common mistakes when choosing an online gestoría
Tip
Ask for the filing receipt for every return and check the form, the period and the result. An approved draft does not prove the return has been filed.
- Comparing a software fee with a full professional service.
- Assuming the Renta, AEAT letters or annual returns are included without reading the scope.
- Mistaking an approved draft for a filed return.
- Switching during tax season without agreeing who files the pending quarter.
- Leaving old powers of attorney active, or not checking how your certificate was kept, when you switch.
- Sending documents late or not keeping the filing receipts.
